Mount Holyoke College

Your home for your time at EXPLO is Mount Holyoke College. Named many times over as one of the most beautiful campuses in the world, the College is nestled in the Connecticut River Valley of Western Massachusetts.

Campus Highlights

Mount Holyoke College sits on a 750-acre campus dotted with trees and extraordinary vistas, and is home to exceptional facilities. On campus, EXPLO has its own residence hall area, which encircles Skinner Green, as well as dedicated classroom spaces, labs, studios and common spaces.

Campus highlights include:

  • The Science Center: A modern five-building complex that the Princeton Review has named among the best science facilities in the country
  • Community Center + Dining Commons: Overlooking the campus lakes, these award-winning facilities are built to LEED Certification Silver Standards and are Green Restaurant certified
  • Residence Halls: The Princeton Review has described them as being “like palaces”
  • Skinner Green: A large expanse of lawn at the center of the residence halls

Mount Holyoke is part of the Five College Consortium that includes nearby Amherst, Smith, and Hampshire Colleges, as well as the University of Massachusetts. Directly across the street from campus is the Village Commons and town square featuring restaurants, a movie theater, retail shops, a bank, hair salon, yoga studio, bookstore, post office and more.
