Masterclass in Trading
Learn to analyze and interpret streaming data via a high-tech trading floor simulation including Bloomberg Terminals, Thomson Reuters Eikon, Morningstar Direct, and S&P Capital IQ platforms.
Generate investment portfolio performance statements detailing portfolio and account performance, portfolio risk + return, model portfolio comparison, asset class performance, holdings by an investor, and a disclosure statement.
Put the above strategies into practice in a real-world scenario by preparing a portfolio for different clients’ circumstances like retirement or portfolio diversification.
Assess Companies’ Stock Pitches
Critically evaluate a series of companies’ stock pitches, assessing the investment theses, catalysts, valuations, and risks of each to determine a fit with your client’s portfolio.
Marc Bodnick is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and the co-founder of Elevation Partners, a private equity firm that invests in intellectual property and media + entertainment companies. Bodnik later went on to lead Quora, a popular question-and-answer website. A graduate of both Harvard University and Stanford University, Bodnick was a competitive Parliamentary debater as an undergraduate student.
Sharon Jacquet is a Vice Chairman in the J.P. Morgan Private Bank where she leads a specialized team that works with corporate executives, family offices, and ultra high net worth individuals. Mrs. Jacquet has been in investment banking for over 27 years including positions at both J.P. Morgan Securities Inc and Morgan Stanley & Co. She has been named one of the Top Women Financial Advisors, one of America’s Top Private Bankers and one of the top Wealth Advisors.
Barry Nalebuff is an expert game theorist and the Milton Steinbeck Professor of Management at Yale School of Management. Nalebuff has been at Yale for 30 years, teaching negotiation, innovation, strategy, and game theory. He has co-authored six books and an online book, including Thinking Strategically and The Art of Strategy, which are two crossover books on game theory with over 400,000 copies in print. Nalebuff also founded the company Honest Tea with a former graduate student, Seth Goldman.
Aamer Khan is the co-founder of Qualivian Investment Partners, LLC, a “long-only equity investment fund that seeks to generate superior long term returns while minimizing capital loss for investors.” Prior to founding Qualivian, Khan spent nearly a decade at Easton Vance as an analyst, portfolio manager, and vice president.
Dennis Scannell is a principal and a portfolio manager at Rutabaga Capital Management, LLC, where he has worked for nearly 20 years. Rutabaga is an employee-owned investment management company that provides services to endowments, investment companies, pension and profit sharing plans, state or municipal government agencies, charitable organizations, and corporations. The firm also manages private funds and invests in the public equity markets of the United States.
Molly Davis is in Investment Talent Development at Point72, a global asset management firm with eight offices around the world that uses discretionary, long/short, macro, and systematic strategies to invest. Prior to joining Point72, Davis worked in recruiting for Digitalent, Inc., and in marketing and communications for her alma mater, Bucknell University.
