EXPLO Boston offers an extended day program for day students. Students may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. and eat breakfast at the program. Some families may have commitments that make it difficult for students to return home before dinnertime. To help meet family needs, day students are welcome to stay late for the evening events as long as they sign up for the Late Bus or have a ride home. They may eat dinner at the program and then participate in evening activities until 8:45 p.m. each night. Day students are also welcome to sleep over in the EXPLO Boston dorms up to two nights a week.
Meal Fee: Students arriving for breakfast, or staying for dinner or an overnight are charged a small additional fee to cover dinner and/or breakfast. This fee is deducted from the student’s Trips + Sundries Account.
All fees are in U.S. dollars.
There is a $75 application fee for all international student applicants to cover the cost of student interviews, language assessments, additional staffing, and additional costs.
Multi-Session Discounts: Students enrolling in multiple sessions of EXPLO receive a discount of 10% off of base tuition for each additional session (discount applied to the lower-priced session(s)). Students enrolling in our 1-week day session at EXPLO Boston will instead receive $20 off each 1-week session enrolled after the first session. Contact our Admission Office for additional details.
Sibling Discounts: If two students in a family are attending an EXPLO program(s), each student will receive a discount of:
For families with a sibling attending a 1-week day session, each student will receive a discount for each week the sibling is enrolled. The student enrolled in the 1-week day session will receive a per-week discount of $20 for each week they are enrolled with a sibling. The sibling of the 1-week day student will receive a per-week discount based on the program in which they are enrolled:
If more than two siblings are attending EXPLO programs, each child will receive one sibling discount (the largest discount for which the student is eligible).
All participants are required to have coverage from a U.S. based accident and health insurance provider. International participants and others without this coverage are required to purchase health insurance that covers them while they are in the United States. EXPLO has identified affordable $0 deductible plans to make it easy on families should medical services need to be used.
Please Note: Enrollment in this health insurance plan opens on March 1.
