Course Highlights

  • Emergency Triage + Prioritization

    Familiarize yourself with emergency medical skills and apply them to real-life scenarios, such as a simulated mass casualty incident. Learn how to quickly assess patients’ needs and assign priorities in a high-stress situation.

  • Suturing

    Practice basic stitches with real suturing kits, and consider the kinds of injuries where suturing would be most effective.

  • Medical Rotations

    As an EXPLO doctor in residence, visit patient exam rooms to treat a variety of simulated illnesses. Apply problem-solving skills to work through the diagnostic process and ensure each patient gets the care they need.

  • Design a Trap

    Investigate the field of cardiology and learn how the heart pumps blood through the body. Then, use an EXPLO-designed blood clot machine to design a trap that can successfully catch simulated blood clots as they travel through a blood vessel model.
