Why devote part of your summer to studying for the SAT or PSAT exam? Because you want your standardized test scores to show your true potential as a student. EXPLO offers 3-week Princeton Review courses for students who want to improve their test-taking strategies or study skills for the SAT or PSAT. Test prep courses meet during the afternoon workshop period. Students who elect to enroll in Princeton Review do not enroll in EXPLO workshops.
Princeton Review courses meet every weekday from 1:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., except Wayfinding Day, which happens on the second Wednesday of each session. PSAT and SAT students take two full-length exams at 4 hours each. On the days of the exams, Princeton Review students will be required to stay an additional 2 hours to accommodate testing. There is an additional fee for each Princeton Review course. The cost of each course is listed at the bottom of the course description. Students who do not enroll in a Princeton Review course sign up to take workshops during the afternoon academic block.
PSAT and SAT
These courses offer an extensive review of the Princeton Review methodology as well as access to the accompanying online courses with video lessons on every topic covered in class. By the completion of the course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of what to expect on test day, as well as how to handle each question effectively in order to reach your target scores.
If you’re interested in more information about the PSAT, know that it is an important test for a couple of reasons: First, it’s great practice for the SAT and your test results will give you a sense of your strengths and weaknesses. Also, a high score on the PSAT is the only way to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship.
