It’s not just about getting into the best school — it’s about figuring out the best schools for you. The EXPLO 360 at Yale Pathways to College program is designed to help you do just that — with admissions representatives, essay writing experts, Princeton Review teachers, and college placement advisers all within walking distance of your dorm. (Not to mention, the experience of living and learning for three weeks on one of the premier university campuses in the world.)
"Search for a number of schools that will meet your needs. Other people are not going to go through the admissions process for you — or [go to] school for you — so your decision has to be based on your needs, not theirs."
Logan Powell, Dean of Admission at Brown University, during EXPLO Seminar
"EXPLO was one of the best experiences of my school career. I came back from my first summer at Explo a much more mature, independent, social and open-minded person. I keep reuniting with fellow EXPLOrers in other programs I attend and extracurriculars I do."
Zoe K., EXPLO Alum, Harvard College student
"I loved EXPLO. The classes I took played a major role in determining my college choices as well as my major choices. I am so glad I was able to participate in the experience!"
Tara P., EXPLO Alum, University of Southern California student
"The best thing about EXPLO is that it helped me to find out what I really want for my future, what I want to study."
Maria R., Explo Alum, Savannah College of Art and Design student

Customized by age and interest, EXPLO champions rigor with playfulness because we believe deep learning doesn’t mean boring and doesn’t require formality. In fact, we know that when children and teens are at ease and having fun, they are more willing to take intellectual and creative risks that lead to greater learning and accomplishment. We believe giving kids opportunities to develop their creativity, a sense of camaraderie, and intellectual daring gives them a head start – not only on achievement but on something more – lifelong happiness.
As we like to say: EXPLO is what school would be if school was always awesome.
