planning for college Living at Explo means getting a first-hand feel for the college experience. You have the opportunity to take full advantage of Yale’s academic, athletic, and residential facilities. You’ll engage in challenging courses, negotiate issues such as sleeping hours and music selections with your suitemates, and enjoy the freedom of managing your own time and money. As a member of a community rich in ideas, interests, and opinions, you’ll find yourself challenging your conceptions of the world and your place in it. Our staff represent more than 40 of the nation’s top colleges and universities and are a unique resource to answer your questions about college and college life. In addition to a valuable pre-college experience, the Senior Program also offers a number of focused opportunities for students looking for even more help with the college selection and admissions process. Each session, you can participate in discussions about college and college preparation, attend weekend workshops on the application process, tour select campuses throughout the northeast, and visit our college fair with representatives from nearly 100 different institutions. wednesday college trips Exploration offers Wednesday college trips, which allow you to tour select college campuses in the northeast Each trip visits two unique campuses for a guided tour led by an admissions representative. This summer, you will have the opportunity to visit: Harvard University + Tufts University, New York University + Sarah Lawrence College, Brown University + Providence College, M.I.T. + Brandeis University, Trinity College + Wesleyan University, Columbia University + Fordham University, and Boston College + Boston University. the explo college fair
the college search: a workshop with richard steele When you're applying to college, how important is class rank, your SAT score, your essay? What are admission hooks? How important is early decision? For answers to all your college application questions, Explo welcomes Richard Steele to the Program for a day-long, intensive admissions workshop. Offered once each session, this one-day workshop will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the college application process from one of the nation's leading experts on college admissions. School selectivity ratings were determined by Peterson’s Guide to Four-Year Colleges.
