Question of the Day: "What's the Coolest Thing You've Done So Far at Explo?" (7/9)

Caroline
Caroline from New York. I think my video production class has been the coolest because I'm getting to make a movie, which I've never done before. For my team's project, I'm mostly behind the camera, telling people what to do. But it's also fun because I can act in other people's movies too.
Sammy
Sammy from Florida. I'm meeting all these different people from all these different places. And sometimes you'll be talking to them about something -- like, corndogs -- and they won't know what a corndog is. So you tell them. And then, yeah, it happens the other way sometimes too.
Annie
Annie from Massachusetts. I really like hanging out on the quad. It's a common area where everyone can chill, and there's always something going on there, whether it's curbball or basketball, and you can just jump in.
Ben
Michael from Connecticut. I would have to say the "Cambridge Experience" field trip. We got to take a tour of Harvard. We went to the MIT Museum which has all these cool robots and machinery. And then we ate at an Indian restaurant.
Badriyyah
Badriyyah from Kuwait. So far, I think it'd probably be the trip to Six Flags, because I really enjoyed all the rides -- especially The Bizarro. It's this roller coaster with this really steep drop; it goes really fast and it also goes underground. We don't have anything that big in Kuwait.
Julian
Julian from Illinois. Probably the funnest thing I've done at Explo was in my improv class. We played this game called "Tableaus" where you freeze like in a picture. We also played this game, "What Are You Doing?" where you ask that question and then someone says something ridiculous -- like, "I'm making a drawing of the sun" -- and then you have to start acting that out.
Cristina
Cristina from Virginia. I'm taking go-cart design, and I've never really worked with wood or built anything before. I like that you can take a class or do something that you've never done before. You don't have to have previous experience -- you can just start and do so many different kinds of things without worrying about there being a grade or competition at the end. You can just do it for the fun of it.
Jonah
Jonah from Massachusetts. Hmm . . . that's hard. I love everything so far. But "School of Rock" has pretty much been amazing.
Grace
Grace from Florida. I like meeting new people because you can start new with the people you meet here. You can kinda just start over and be yourself. It's really easy to make friends -- you just say, "Hey, my name's Grace," and then you talk and then you run into each other and then you're friends.
David
David from Connecticut. Yesterday for eTeam Spirit, I painted my arms and my neck and my hands completely blue and even glittery. It was really cool -- even when it started hardening and it made your face feel weird when you blinked. That was probably the most fun thing I've ever done at Explo.
Jessica
Jessica from New Jersey. In my class, we played an improv game where you say a word, and it's just the first thing that pops out of your head. It can be totally, utterly random. And the goal is to end on the word you started with -- like, if you start with "banana," you have to somehow get back to "banana." I love acting. Improv is completely random, which is wonderful.
Frank
Frank from Massachusetts. I like the food and the courses. At the dining halls, there's ice cream and soda. And then the courses, I'd say the coolest thing I've done is learn new songs on the guitar. I've learned "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star," "Mary had a Little Lamb," and "Iron Man."
Naomi
Naomi from Maryland. We did this activity in "Orange Man Group" where we had to play with everything in the room -- you know, the TV, the piano -- without talking to each other and we had to stay in contact with our partner in some way, shape, or form. The idea was to communicate with our partner without talking -- like, maybe you want to go play the piano, so what you do is you nudge them a little bit or point to the piano or cock your head in that direction.
Harris
Harris from New York. Everything at Explo is really cool, but I like my "Designing Your Own Dream House" course. We're actually designing our own house, which is really cool. I put a lot of cool stuff in my house -- like a secret hideout, a gift shop, and a zoo.
