After Class, What’s Up Next?
After a day of vet classes, clinics, and trips, the day isn't done! In the evenings, Explo sponsors an activity period with 10-12 options for students to choose from. We offer athletic activities (like soccer and tennis) and artistic activities (like painting and pottery), as well as zany, Explo originals (like "dining hall dudes" and "extreme pizza delivery") that will pique your curiosity.

After activities, students attend an exciting Main Event. Past Main Events include Carnival Night, the Airborne Comedians, Staff Improv Show, Amazing Hero Art, Off-Campus Movie Night, and the Bubble Show.

Living with Your Veterinary Team
During the summer you'll be living and learning with a diverse group of students who share a common interest in vetrinary medicine. Students in EXPLO Vet are housed in a single dorm (boys on one floor, girls on another). Each Living Group is comprised of approximately 12 students and two residential advisors. Residential advisors are immersed in the lives of the students within their Living Groups. They live with students on the floors, sit with students at meals, help them choose activities and make friends, deal with issues associated with being away from home, and making sure everyone is comfortable, safe, and happy.

Eat Like a Wizard
Walk into St. Mark's dining hall and you might think you've set foot in Hogwarts. With long wooden tables stretching the length of the room and paintings of old school chancellors hanging from the walls, there's nothing in the Muggle world quite like it. Students eat three meals a day at the dining hall, along with a snack in the afternoon. Salad and deli bars, several main entrées at each meal, and fresh fruit are just some of the options. There are always vegetarian choices. (We can accommodate students with special dietary needs with advanced notice.)

Weekend Trips
On the weekend, students embark on trips throughout New England. Indoor rock climbing, minor league baseball games, the Science Museum, canoeing on the Concord, or simulated skydiving. Trips are a fantastic opportunity for students to engage in academic and recreational adventures, to meet new friends outside of the EXPLO Vet Program.
