Admission to Exploration is contingent upon space availability, as well as age considerations. Students may enroll for one or more sessions. Space in residence halls and courses will be reserved upon the receipt of a completed application and deposit. Because course enrollment is limited, we recommend that you submit your completed application with course selections as soon as possible in order to ensure course choices.


APPLYING ONLINE

Exploration offers you the opportunity to complete your application online through InfoSnap, a leading provider of online applications for independent schools and summer programs. InfoSnap applications are great -- they're securely encrypted and automatically save your information as you go, so you may start your application in one sitting and return to it at a later time. In addition, using our online application is the quickest way to submit your application to Exploration. There are two steps to the online application:

step 1: space reservation + deposit
A Space Reservation Form and deposit is used to reserve your space at the Program. Exploration will not be able to process your online application without first receiving a completed Space Reservation Form and deposit payment (either online or by mail).

To submit a Space Reservation Form online, you must pay your deposit with a credit card. (If you wish to submit your deposit via check, domestic wire, or international cable, please download a print version of our Space Reservation Form and mail your deposit to Exploration.) Please note that credit cards are accepted for online deposits only, not for final payment. Final payments must be made by check, domestic wire, or international cable.

step 2: online application
Once you have completed a Space Reservation Form and submitted your deposit (either online or by mail), you may proceed to the online application, where you'll submit course preferences, as well as important emergency contact and family information. Since courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, you are encouraged to complete the online application as soon as possible after you have submitted your Space Reservation Form and deposit. (Students have an opportunity to change courses and mini-courses at the beginning of each session, depending on availability.)

As part of the online application, you will be asked to download and print a supplemental school evaluation form. The school evaluation form must be completed by a teacher, principal, or guidance counselor in order for a student to attend Exploration. Do not wait until the school evaluation form is completed to submit your online application, as this delay may jeopardize a student’s chances for getting into a particular course or mini-course.

Please note: A completed school evaluation form and medical/health form (sent to families after enrollment) must be received by Exploration prior to the start of the Program, or a student will not be allowed to register and attend any Exploration Programs.

APPLYING VIA MAIL

A space in the Program may be reserved with a printed Space Reservation Form and deposit, or with a printed application and deposit. (Both available on our downloads page.) Though a Space Reservation Form may be used at any time to reserve a space in the Program, all students must complete the full-length application to reserve space in courses and mini-courses.

The school evaluation form, which is available with the printed application, must be completed by a teacher, principal, or guidance counselor in order for a student to attend Exploration. Do not wait until the school evaluation form is completed to mail in your application and deposit, as this delay may jeopardize a student’s chances for reserving a place in the Program.
