our students

There is no such thing as a typical Exploration student. Our students come from a variety of socio-economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds and bring with them a set of interests that vary from theatre and the arts, to science and athletics, to computers and politics. Last year, over 40 states and 40 countries were represented at our Programs. We believe that the diversity of our student body and faculty is one of our biggest resources and strive to create an inclusive environment that offers each member of our community a forum in which to share their unique perspectives.

While everybody involved with Exploration is unique, there is one common strand that holds the Exploration community together: a love of learning. As a self-selected group, our student body has chosen to spend their summer at an academic enrichment program because they want to learn. This student enthusiasm, coupled with Exploration’s active educational model, creates the perfect environment in which to introduce students to new concepts, new disciplines, and entirely new ideas.
