Exploring Education
At Explo, we are always looking for good articles, books, videos, blogs, and websites that may help us to become better educators. We have recently started compiling these recommendations into an online newsletter, Exploring Education.
What has become clear to us is that many people get just as excited as we do when they discover a good piece of writing or an informative, thought-provoking video about education. Unfortunately, we are all so busy that it feels nearly impossible to stay abreast of all the good work out in the world. We hope to rectify this a bit with our newsletter.
Our goal with each edition is to call attention to interesting work related to the field of education, define education broadly. At Explo, we think everyone should be a lifelong learner, and we don’t want to focus on work that is only of interest to those professionally engaged as educators. In addition to recommending recent work, we also pass along older pieces that remain relevant.
We have no interest in replacing or replicating the many excellent university- and foundation-based educational newsletters. We see ourselves more in the “good neighbor” role: when we hear of something compelling and perhaps helpful, we want to share it with the Explo community.
