Activities Aplenty
At EXPLO, activities take learning out of the classroom and into the playing field, the studios, the theater, the lower quad and more. While courses and workshops give students a chance to have an in-depth experience in a specific subject, activity periods are designed to allow students to explore an even wider variety of interests and have plenty of fun while they're at it!

We offer athletic activities (like soccer and tennis) and artistic activities (like painting and pottery), as well as zany, EXPLO originals (like "dining hall dudes" and "extreme pizza delivery") that will pique your curiosity. Each day, our newsletter, the Explorer, lists all of our activity offerings, and you'll have the difficult choice of narrowing down your favorites. Students participate in up to three activity periods per day and choose from a variety activities each period.

Magical Main Events
Your Explo day couldn't end without a bang. Each night, EXPLO at St. Mark's puts on an exciting Main Event. Enjoy watching a carnival spring up right outside your dorm room window. Or show off your skills and talents when the stage is home to student and staff generated talent shows, game shows, and recitals. Or, sit back and enjoy the show during other nights when professional performers come to the EXPLO stage.

Evening main events are required for residential students, and day students are always encouraged to stay late. (There will be a small fee for day students staying late to cover the cost of dinner.)

Theme Day Thursdays
Captain Hook, Superman, Obi-wan, or Harry Potter. You never know who you'll see wandering the halls on Theme Day Thursdays. Students are always encouraged to pack their favorite costumes for the summer, because on "Island Adventure" or "Superhero" day, an extra straw hat or cape might come in handy.
